God save the Queen

Spare a thought for yoru Classroom Teacher colleagues who are hard at work on report cards over this long weekend. Sometimes I think that the only thing saving the sanity of those hard at work on report cards is a very well-timed long weekend.

I really love this picture. It's a good reminder that we all have to just get in and get things done sometimes. With report cards due I imagine there will be a few more "sick" days called in, and it's time for us Supply Teachers to muck in and take up the slack. Have a great week filled with work and do what you can to help out your colleagues who are bogged down in report carding.

Jump on over and join in the fun

There's barely a week and bit till the workshop and I just can't wait. I've had the loveliest week at work and should be printing out all the resources that I'm giving away at the workshop over the weekend. It's a crazy-busy time- but in a wonderful way.

If you were on the fence about coming then it's time to jump on over and join in the fun. The resources are looking great and I've managed to whittle down my list of games to a shortlist of 20 of the best. Email me at thepinksupplyteacher@gmail.com to reserve a place... we can still squeeze a few more in.

Bingo!

I can think of at least 10 different versions of bingo to play in the classroom, and I'll be sharing them with you on the 16th of June if you RSVP to the workshop.

A lack of blogging...

I'm sorry that I've been a little quiet here on my little blog. I've written posts, or at least started them, many times over. I can say that Classroom Teaching is hard, and I have some incredibly talented colleagues who are facing its challenges head-on at the moment. Every deleted post-to-be has seemed to hint towards telling their stories, and as they are not mine to tell... well they were deleted. Always, always be very respectful of the confidences of your colleauges and at times like this (reportcard season) do whatever you can to lighten their load. Really our powers as Supply Teachers are limited to taking on the occasional extra playground duty or the handing out of Tim Tams, but we can try to help.
